3 Easy Weight Loss Tips You May Not Know About!

3 Easy Weight Loss Tips You May Not Know About!

Weight loss is not as complicated as you think it to be, if only you follow these three simple weight loss tips.

1. Never shop on an empty stomach: I would recommend that before you go out shopping, you should have a heavy meal so that you don’t feel hungry when shopping. If you shop on an empty stomach, you will either buy junk foods to take them home, or end up entering a fast food restaurant. Both options are unhealthy for you. On the other hand, when you are full, you won’t feel hungry, and there will be no urge to grab fast foods.

No matter how determined you are to lose weight, no matter how strong you will power is, you can exercise your will power only when you are full. Try to eat protein-rich foods such as yogurt, cottage cheese, walnuts, etc. This is because of all foods, protein-rich foods will keep you full for longer!

You know, I am very fond of chips. I have noticed that if I go shopping on an empty stomach, and if I get past a chips’ store, I will grab one large pack for myself for sure! I just cannot resist it, no matter how hard I try.

2. Learn about your weaknesses: We are humans and all humans have their weaknesses. Maybe you too have your weak moments when you cannot resist food impulses. Learn about those weak points and try to find ways to cope up with them, other than food. For example, do you eat when you feel bored? If yes, try to find other ways of coping up with boredom. Maybe you are bored of sitting lazily on your couch? If yes, try to take a walk.

Do you love dancing? If yes, do it! Do you like gardening? If yes, do it. Bottom line is, find ways to cope up with things that cause food triggers. When the food triggers are themselves not present, you are less likely to eat junk foods!

3. Use smaller plates: We are such visual creatures that if we see a large, half-empty plate, our brain will assume that we are eating “less” than what we are supposed to! However, if we keep that same amount of food on a smaller plate (which should be full instead of half-empty), our brain would think that we are eating full! That is how it works! So, try to eat off smaller plates. Believe it or not, it works!
You will notice that while you would have to put three large burgers on a large plate, for a smaller plate, only two would suffice. Notice how you reduced your food intake? Of course, I don’t recommend burgers for you; this is just to give you an example!
