3 Ways To Feel Energetic Even While Dieting

3 Ways To Feel Energetic Even While Dieting

Dieting, as many know it, is an effective way to lose weight. However, if you are feeling weak and tired the entire day as a result of dieting, then it is time to look back and see what you are missing. As a matter of fact, lack of energy is indicative of a low metabolic rate. With a low metabolic rate, you cannot burn fat and lose weight. In order to lose weight, you need to have a high metabolic rate.

In order to maintain a high metabolic rate, you will need to consume enough calories to provide your body with the required amount of energy and nutrition. If you become tired as a result dieting, then it is just useless. At the same time you should control your food intake in a way that you never consume more calories than what you burn. In this article I will tell you how to be energetic even while dieting.

1. Small meals are the way to go: Do you eat only three large meals per day? If yes, this is not an effective way to lose weight. When you eat only three large meals, and go hungry the rest of the day, your metabolic rate is not at its optimum. Besides, you are likely to gorge on junk foods whenever you are hungry.

Eating six small meals per day is the surefire way of making sure that you keep your metabolic rate at a high level (so as to burn fat and lose weight) and also not get hungry often. When your body receives a continuous supply of food, it keeps your metabolic rate high at all times. It doesn’t need to slow down your metabolic rate in order to conserve energy in the form of fat, since it is sure to receive food within the next couple of hours.

You basically need to split your three large meals into six small meals!

2. Drink water equivalent to half of your body weight: Calculate your body weight in ounces. Drink water which is equivalent to at least half of your body weight (in ounces). A large percentage of our body is composed of water; so it only makes sense to drink more of it so as to keep yourself healthy, detoxify your body as well as increase your metabolic rate.

3. Don’t avoid carbs: To people who think that carbs are the real cause behind obesity, let me tell you that carbs are also the primary source of your body’s energy, and that not all carbs are bad. If you eliminate carbs from your diet altogether, it is natural that you will feel weak and lazy. If anything, it is the junk foods that you should avoid as they contain fast carbs. Slow carbs which is available in whole grain wheat is good for you!
