In Graves&#8217; disease, the thyroid gland in the neck is diffusely enlarged and hyperactive, developing excessive thyroid hormones. </p>
<p>Graves&#8217; disease can have an effect on many parts of the body such as the nails, lungs, digestive system, muscles. </p>
<p>What are the symptoms of Grave&#8217;s disease?</p>
<p>There are many symptoms of Graves&#8217; disease and hyperthyroidism. These include but are not limited to:</p>
<p>Goiter &#8212; The most common symptom of Graves&#8217; disease is goiter, an enlargement of the thyroid, with reactions that can include a visibly larger neck, a feeling of fullness in the neck or throat, discomfort with ties or scarves, a feeling like the thyroid is vibrating, a choking sensation, pain or tenderness in the neck or hoarseness. </p>
